• London has a lot of on-street parking, but it’s often short-stay or resident permit holders only.  If you want a more guaranteed spot, look for multi-story car parks or “pay and display” car parks.
• London has a series of dual carriageways that let you navigate around London faster than you would on inner-city roads. Check in advance for roadworks and lane closures.
• When driving into the center of London between 7:00AM and 6:00PM during the week, be prepared to pay a ‘Congestion Charge’.
• Between 6:00AM and 10:00PM you will be charged a small fee when travelling through Dartford Crossing over the river Thames on the Eastern part of the M25 Motorway.
• Speed limits are strictly enforced. Be on the lookout for 20MPH zones in the city.
• Make sure you don’t drive in bus lanes during specified times or you will be fined.
• London has peak hours (8:00AM to 10:00AM and 5:00PM to 7:00PM) where any kind of travel takes longer than usual..
